Sports Illustrated's Florida Sportstown Clearwater is proud to have been selected Sports Illustrated's Florida Sportstown in 2004. The selection, made by both Sports Illustrated and the National Recreation and Park Association, was based upon a variety of criteria, among which were the community's commitment to parks and recreation resources and the scope of programming. Each year the city hosts hundreds of swimming, basketball, baseball and softball competitions, among others, bringing athletes to the area to compete but also to enjoy all Clearwater has to offer.
On the way to the game Grab one or six of Pete & Shorty's famous slider burgers at the original location started up by the same guys who brought you the Hooters chain. They sell them at the park, but it's better to go to the source (2820 Gulf to Bay Blvd., Clearwater).

Save Money And Enjoy The Tiki Bar Save money by buying a lawn seat, get in early and stake out one of the bar stools in the Tiki Bar in left field. First-come, first-serve, sweet view of the game. Beers lovers rejoice! The third base concourse's Beers of the World sells over 40 types of beer, including Philly fav Yuengling. For fans who prefer spirits, the popular Frenchy's Tiki Pavilion in left field is a full service bar that also features five tiers of barstool seating directly behind the outfield fence. Seats (250 total) are first-come, first-serve. And it wouldn't be a Phillies game without Philadelphia's favorite sandwich - the cheesesteak. They are available at the concession stand behind home plate.

The Best Way To Get Phillie’s Autograph Generally, players are willing to sign during spring training. The best time to get them is before the game. After the game the starters will go quickly down the tunnel and the rookies will stay on the field to run. Security doesn’t usually seem to tight, so 30 to 45 minutes before the game, just stroll right down to the seats behind the dugout. By Shay Roddy
Lenny’s Restaurant If you’re in Clearwater, you must go to Lenny’s Restaurant. Lenny’s is a favorite of all the players, broadcasters, and writers. It caters to all the players and it’s not uncommon to head in after a game and find Comcast SportsNet doing a piece, or a group of Phils huddled around a table. Lenny’s offers great Philly/South Jersey style food at very good prices, served by a friendly staff in a place with personality. They also cater breakfast for the players most days.

Parking Help The closer you park to Bright House Networks Field, the more difficult it gets to find a place and the more expensive it gets. There's a park a mile or so down Old Coachman Road where you can park for a "mere" $5 and the walk isn't bad. Traffic is very heavy well before and after the game so plan accordingly.
