Tips

Enjoy The Unspoiled Local Beaches
Catch sunset at Caspersen Beach, Venice Beach or Nokomis Beach (across the county line in Sarasota County) for seclusion, peace and tranquility. Not a lot of condo commando’s feeling like Miami or Daytona. - Joe Connor, Author of A Fan’s Guide To The Ultimate Spring Training Experience, www.modernerabaseball.com

Baseball From the Boardwalk
The Baseball Boardwalk is the highlight of the renovated park in Port Charlotte. Its wooden planks span the outfield and fill up with fans before the game begins. So get there early if you want to have a good spot to view the game from. Also, the tiki hut on the boardwalk is a full service bar that stays open until 90 minutes after the game ends.
