They offer smoking, non-smoking and patio seating (2 patios) for you to relax on before or after catching practice or a game. Cubs fans on the lawn Very passionate fans yet very much involved in the experience of the game…partying, talking, kind of like a big tailgate party. Most people are hanging out on the blankets in the lawn, but there is definitely as social/party vibe to the experience. Lots of loud talkers and excited people.
Best Places to Eat and Best Sports Bars In Mesa, Vito's is the best Italian restaurant in the valley. It's not fancy, just good. If you miss good pizza, Vito's is your place. The Blue Adobe has great New Mexican cuisine, and you might spot some Cubs people there. Like it hot? Go to Los Dos Molinos in Mesa. You will need the pitcher of water, but the food is outstanding.
The tourists love Don and Charlie's in Old Town Scottsdale. The service is friendly, and the sports memorabilia is great. Be prepared to wait. For breakfast, Cubs great Billy Williams and I like T.C. Eggington's on the south end of Mesa near U.S. Route 60.
In Mesa, I like R.T. O'Sullivan's on Southern. Sluggo's in downtown Mesa is the old Harry Caray and Steve Stone place. It still has a Chicago feel. Tempe, Ariz., home of Arizona State University, has a bevy of places to enjoy a beverage, food and sports. These places get crowded at NCAA tourney time.

Get To The Ballpark An Hour Before First Pitch Otherwise, you will likely miss first pitch and you could spend 30 minutes trying to get out of snarled traffic trying to find a decent parking spot. The ballpark is off a main artery that’s often a traffic nightmare before and after the game. Park on nearby surface streets and walk in. Mesa Hotel We are hard core Cubs fans! Love the weather in Mesa and the family atmosphere that Mesa has to offer. Being season ticket holders and living in the Chicago cold, makes Mesa the perfect place to spend spring break! I bring my three children and of course the wife. LOVE everything about this yearly trip!!! Last year we found and stayed at the Quality Inn %26 Suites. They have a two bedroom and two bathroom suite-perfect for my family. We stayed two weeks and the rate...lets just say you can afford to attend four more games. One tip...ask for the extended stay rate-much better then nightly but ya gotta ask. Oh and they have a great pool area with BBQ grills, since you have a kitchen in the room and Costco down the road...enough said! Chuck LaSalle, IL
