Oswalt's plans not dampened by rain
After the Astros had their Grapefruit League game against the Washington Nationals washed out Thursday in Viera, Fla., because of heavy rain, Roy Oswalt threw 58 pitches during a three-inning simulated game on a back field at Osceola County Stadium.

Berkman, Arias scheduled for checkups
Astros slugger Lance Berkman is scheduled to have his bruised left knee examined Friday by team medical director Dr. David Lintner after twice having fluid drained from the knee earlier this week.
